Delta College named Brad Barlog as its next Director of Athletics and Student Athlete Development in August 2024.

Barlog brings extensive athletics knowledge and leadership experience to the department of Athletics at Delta College. Previously serving as the assistant athletic director of Facilities and Events at Saginaw Valley State University. While at SVSU, he managed all aspects of game day management for all home athletic events, athletic facility/field maintenance, oversaw summer camps, laundry/equipment room operations, coordinated all athletic travel and was the advisor for SVSU’s student athlete advisory committee (SAAC). He led and executed all conference and NCAA championship games hosted by SVSU and served as the sport administrator for several men’s and women’s sports teams.

Barlog also stepped in as the interim associate athletic director at SVSU from August 2022 through August 2023 where he took on more administrative duties such as budgeting, HR contact, and additional sport oversight.

Prior to his work at SVSU, Barlog served as the assistant athletic director of Recreation and Facilities at Alma College, the graduate assistant of Facility Operations and Events at Central Michigan University and as an intern of Facility Operations & Events at the University of Toledo.

When asked what this opportunity meant to him, Barlog stated, "I am extremely honored to lead and be the next director of Athletics and Student Athlete Development at Delta. I was highly impressed with the coaches, student athletes, staff and faculty during my campus visit. I would like to thank our President, Michael Gavin, our Vice President Raube, the search committee, the Athletic Department staff, coaches, and student athletes and the rest of the Delta College community for this opportunity. I am ready to hit the ground running and continue the excellence within the Athletic Department. I look forward to meeting everyone and being part of the Delta College family and culture and the surrounding Great Lakes Bay Region.”

Barlog has a bachelor’s degree (BAA) in recreation and event management from Central Michigan University and a master’s degree (MS) in sports administration. He currently resides in Saginaw Township.
