Pioneers Win Big on Sophomore Night Defeating NCMC in 3 Sets!
Pioneer Gym was electric for the much-anticipated rematch with the NCMC Timberwolves. After giving the Wolves their first win, Delta was out for revenge…and they got it! A completely dominating performance by the Pioneers, who played their best match of the year!

The standout student athletes of this game were Kayla Baase and Hanna Edmonds. The Their current statistics for the season are Kayla with 235 kills, 2 solo blocks, 21 assisted blocks, 186 digs, 16 serving aces and Hanna with 127 kills, 2 solo blocks, 17 assisted blocks, 42 digs and 8 serving aces.
Highlights from game:
Kayla Baase was on fire. She came out looking to make sure Delta won. Sydney Pagel was all over the court & Kya Belill had an incredible performance. Kya had 20 digs, working to make sure Syd had great passes to set up Kayla and Hanna for the kills.

The Pioneers secured the win 3-0 with 5 serving aces, 35 kills, 3 block assists, and 52 digs.
Coaches' Comments:
We took control of the match and never let it go. We didn't give them any opportunity to come back, and I'm so proud of the girls for closing the deal. It was an incredible finish to our home campaign.
Any adjustments for next game:
Not only was it exciting to watch the girls finish this match, it was fun to have a several high-level recruits in attendance. They saw what's possible. We are on to Muskegon for a tough match. Pioneers will participate in their first Regional Tournament on October 25th at Owens Community College.
