Delta College Basebal Hires Michael Valone as the new Associate Head Coach

The Delta College Athletics Department and Delta College Baseball team are proud to announce the addition of newly hired Michael Valone as the Associate Head Baseball Coach.  

Michael, a native of Saginaw, enters his first season as Associate Head Coach for Delta College Baseball, bringing a strong playing background and diverse training experience to the program.  

A three-year varsity player in high school, Michael continued his collegiate career at Alma College, where he pitched for three seasons. During his time at Alma, he invested heavily in his development as a pitcher, studying and training with industry-leading performance organizations including Advanced Therapy and Performance, Driveline Baseball, TopVelocity, and Tread Athletics. His exposure to modern pitching development, biomechanics, and performance training continues to shape his coaching philosophy today.  

After graduating early from Alma College, he transitioned into the health and wellness industry, further expanding his knowledge of strength training, recovery, and athletic performance.  

He began his coaching career at Birch Run Schools, where he spent two years developing student-athletes and helping build the program's competitive foundation.  

As Associate Head Coach at Delta College, Michael is committed to developing well-rounded athletes, focusing not only on performance and skill development but also on discipline, accountability, and long-term growth on and off the field.
