Delta Pioneers defeat Northwood University JV 118-95

Delta College men's basketball took to the road on Tuesday and came back to campus with a 118-95 victory over Northwood JV. The Pioneers improve their record to 6-0 on the season. Delta has six players hit the double digit mark with Chaz Wood leading the way with 21 points follwed by Goliath Mitchell with 20. Justin Fox contributed 18 points with Trey Newsham and Peyton Miller adding 15 apiece. Jackarus Smith rounded out the scoring with 12 points. Chaz Wood and Justin Fox each had career highs in scoring while Aaron Collins had a career high 6 assists and 4 steals in the win.

Delta led by as much as 10 points in the first half but went into the locker room tied at 53. Delta came out firing on all cylinders with a 15-0 run to start the second half and at one time lef by as many as 29 points to cruise to an easy win. The Pioneer's next game is on the road at Lansing Community College on December 5th at 7:30pm.
