Delta College Men Earn 99–71 Road Win Over North Central Michigan
The Delta College Men's Basketball Team earned a decisive 99–71 road victory over North Central Michigan College on February 14, improving to 8–14 overall and 5–6 in conference play.
After trailing 46–44 at halftime, the Pioneers exploded in the second half, outscoring North Central 55–25 to pull away. Delta shot 48.7% from the field and connected on 13–32 (40.6%) from three-point range while dominating the glass with a 48–35 rebounding advantage.
Sir'Real Smith led the way with 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists in an all-around performance. Dovydas Kačinskas provided a major spark off the bench, pouring in 21 points on an efficient 9–11 shooting, including 3–4 from beyond the arc. Brady Belcher added 17 points and 8 rebounds, while Darrion Youngblood contributed 10 points in reserve minutes.
Delta's defensive effort held North Central to just 25 second-half points and forced 14 turnovers. The Pioneers also recorded 17 assists, showcasing strong ball movement throughout the contest.
