The Delta College Men's Basketball Team earned a thrilling home victory in the Coaches vs. Cancer game, closing it out in dramatic fashion in front of an energized crowd.
The contest remained tight throughout, with both teams exchanging runs and battling possession by possession. Delta shot efficiently from the floor and shared the basketball well, finishing with strong assist numbers while controlling key stretches in the second half. The Pioneers also made timely defensive stops down the stretch to keep the game within reach.
Sir'Real Smith led the scoring effort with a strong offensive performance, while multiple Pioneers contributed on the glass and in transition to keep the pressure on. With the game hanging in the balance in the final seconds, Jimmy McCrum delivered the defining moment of the night, knocking down a clutch three-pointer in the closing seconds to secure the win and send the home crowd into celebration.
