Thomas Howard, Jr. Golf Invitational

The Delta College Men's Varsity Golf Team finished 3rd with a team total of 334 which was nine strokes off the front runners Mott and Oakland whose teams both carded 325 at the Thomas Howard, Jr. Golf Invitational held at the Lakes of Taylor Golf Club on Monday October 1st. This is the second straight 3rd place finish by the Pioneers. Nick Stroia from Henry Ford and Eric Curtis from Oakland finished in a tie for medalist honors with a score of 76. Delta's, JJ Gross carded a 78 which tied for 5th overall to lead the Pioneers. Other Pioneers included in the 334 scoring were Cooper Benson with an 81 (tied for 10th), Leeland McMartin with an 86 (tied for 19th) and Spencer Kloc with an 89 (tied for 24th). Delta's next match will be held on Monday, October 15th at the Pontiac Country Club with a 9:00am tee time.
