Delta College Softball finishes their season on a high note.
The Delta College Softball team concluded the 2025 season with a 22-22 overall record and an 11-14 conference finish, showing impressive grit and development throughout the year. The Pioneers were dominant at home with a 14-5 record, while gaining valuable experience on the road.
Offensively, the team scored 236 runs on 307 hits, including 51 doubles, 17 triples, and 10 home runs. Delta posted a team batting average of .274, an on-base percentage of .337, and racked up 78 extra-base hits and 77 stolen bases.
On the mound, the Pioneers held opponents to a .305 average and produced 233 strikeouts across 44 games. The pitching staff finished the year with a 3.89 ERA, a 1.59 WHIP, and earned four shutouts.
The Pioneers had a mixed season overall but finished with winning the NJCAA Divison III Region XII Tounrmanent and falling shortly in the District Final play.
Individual Honors and Accolades:
Geena Gauthier was named NJCAA Region XII Division III Regional Tournament MVP after a standout postseason performance.
Izabel Lathrom and Hannah Hycki were both selected to the NJCAA Region XII Division III All-Region Team and the MCCAA All-Northern 2nd Team.
Katie Chinavare earned NJCAA Region XII Division III All-Region honors and received MCCAA All-Northern Honorable Mention.
Megan Mankey also received MCCAA Northern Honorable Mention for her contributions throughout the season.
Head Coach Shelly Petoskey was honored as the NJCAA Region XII Division III Coach of the Year, recognizing her leadership and the growth of the program.
With a balanced mix of seasoned leadership and emerging talent, the Pioneers finished strong and laid a solid foundation for the future.
