The Delta College Women's Basketball Team battled but fell at home to Bay College, 90–83, in conference play on February 21.
Bay College built an early advantage, leading 45–32 at halftime. Delta responded with a strong third quarter, outscoring Bay 26–18 to cut into the deficit and set up a competitive final period. Despite the late push, Bay's efficiency at the free-throw line and balanced scoring helped them hold off the comeback attempt.
Aya Mosley led the Pioneers with 19 points and 5 blocks, adding 7 rebounds in a strong two-way performance. Alexis Schlatter provided a spark off the bench with 18 points and 8 rebounds, while Makayla Watkins added 14 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double. Malaya Brown chipped in 10 points, and Ellianna Miller contributed 9.
Delta shot 41.3% from the field and matched Bay's 41.0% shooting, but the visitors capitalized at the free-throw line (18–21) and finished with 28 assists. The Pioneers also battled on the glass with 22 offensive rebounds and forced 14 turnovers, keeping the game within reach until the final minutes.
