The Delta College Women's Basketball Team delivered a dominant performance at home Tuesday night, defeating Alpena Community College 97–48 in conference play.
Delta controlled the tempo from the opening tip, jumping out to a 19–8 first-quarter lead and extending the advantage to 45–23 at halftime. The Pioneers put the game away in the third quarter, erupting for 32 points while holding Alpena to just 9. Delta shot 47.1% from the field and forced 34 turnovers, converting defensive pressure into easy scoring opportunities.
Aya Mosley led the charge with 35 points and 12 rebounds, adding 8 steals and 2 blocks in a dominant two-way performance. Makayla Watkins recorded a triple-double effort with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists while also contributing 3 steals and 2 blocks. Annaka Neetz added 12 points, and Abigail Hendy chipped in 8 points and 6 rebounds. As a team, Delta finished with 27 assists, 23 steals, 9 blocks, and a 47–31 rebounding advantage.
