2025-2026 Delta College Women's Basketball Recap

The Delta College Pioneers ended an impressive campaign that paired high offense with a deep playoff run. Finishing 3rd in the MCCAA Northern Conference, the Pioneers proved to be a force, advancing to the NJCAA Region 12 District A Semifinals.  

Season Overview & Postseason Run  

The Pioneers' season overall was both exciting and efficient, averaging 73.8 points per game, 37% from the field, 20.7% from beyond the arc, 60.5% from the free throw line, 43.4 rebounds per game, and 16.7 assists per game.  

Their consistent performance landed them 3rd Place in the MCCAA Northern Conference.  

In the postseason, they were selected to play in the NJCAA Region 12 District A Quarter-final, where they defeated Montcalm CC, 80-69, to advance.  

Their season ended in the NJCAA Region 12 District A Semi-Final in a hard-fought battle against Lansing CC, 102-44, concluding a standout season.  

Leader of the Team  

Aya Mosley has had a standout freshman year performance. She put together a season for the record books. Averaging a staggering 15.8 points per game, she was the engine of the Pioneers' offense, with a high number in rebounds with 205 overall. Aya defensively had 58 steals and led the team with 63 blocks. At the end of the season, Aya Mosley was named MCCAA Northern Freshman of the Year, on the NJCAA Region 12 All-Region Team, MCCAA 1st Team, All-Conference Freshman Team, and All-Conference Defensive Team

Overall: The Delta College Women's Basketball team went 17-13 overall and 9-5 in MCCAA. With a roster dominated by freshmen, the Pioneers have set a foundation for the future. Their ability to secure a top-three conference finish and a postseason win speaks high volume about the program's direction.
