Pioneers Defeat Terra State

Game Outcome: 
Delta College traveled to regional opponent Terra St. for a critical region 12 match-up.  This game has ramifications as to where the regional tournament will be held.  After a challenging bus ride that delayed the start of the game by one and a half hours, the Pioneers were determined to bring home a victory.  Terra St. would hold Delta scoreless for the first half of play.  Delta made needed changes at halftime and then scored three critical goals in the second half to secure this critical victory.  This win brings Delta's record to 9 -0-0 in the conference and 10-0-0 overall, which keeps them in first place in the MCCAA.

The game winning goal by Peyton Pratt gave the Pioneers the offensive spark that was needed to secure this crucial win.

Highlights from The game:
Overcoming significant challenges by the team to earn this important win was definitely the highlight of the day.  Staying focused and not being deterred was a great accomplishment for our team.

Adjustments for the next Game:
Delta will continue to focus on the basics during the training sessions and build on what we have learned so far.  The Pioneers will be traveling to GRCC on Sunday the 17th.  The Pioneers currently have a #3 National ranking.
